Competing with the best and most worthy finalists, we were set against over 25 other local community projects to get funding in east Hull.
Meeting at the Freedom Centre on Preston Road, an assembled panel of representatives of the NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, community activists and local residents, all voted whether to fund each project.
Following a three minute pitch from each of shortlisted organisation, a TV show style vote was cast via a digital remote control.
