Growing towards a healthier future- the seed is sown

On Thursday 24 September, students from the L1 Vocational course and two staff members visited Ings Primary School. The Headteacher, Jonathan Roe had invited our students to learn more about their Eco Club.

The visit included a tour of the school buildings including the new kitchen where pupils have lessons every 6 weeks, learning how to prepare and cook simple meals and using, where possible, food that has been grown in the school gardens.

Later the students worked with the pupils to weed the raised bed areas, removing weeds to the composting area. A return visit by the pupils to see the Seeds of Change project  in action at Wilberforce College has been arranged for two week’s time….
